Good People

By Dennis Williams

Good people are still among us

It is just an illusion, my friend
overpowering your mind
my friend,
telling you that the majority of people have a wrap intention
No! My friend, there are still good people amongst us.

Amongst the savagery on display every day
there is still that bright light, that drip of hope
in our midst, which will burst through the shadow of despair
and the darkness will comprehend it not.

Don’t overburden yourself, don’t lose hope, my friend,
Don’t let your experience dictate your present circumstances,
People’s hearts are extremely wicked, but there are still good people among us my friend.

Some people will work to wreck the world my friend,
and make others’ experiences bad,
what would our experience be if we did not have even a few good souls in our midst

Bad people turn sweet into sour,
and the good of life often ovoid,
good people however rear
is the delight of life, they make life worthwhile, and life worth living my friend.

Even a flower in an overgrown garden is a delight to behold, gentle to the touch, and makes the air
sweet with its fragrance.
There are still good people in our midst my friend.

Come on man! Good people however scared, still can be found, they are still in our midst, crowed out
probably, but very present in our midst.

I meet one at least every day, not dressed in red, but still, there, I wish the encounter could be longer,
but I know they have an engagement to keep, and darkness covers the world, but God created the light
and the darkness could not comprehend it not.
