Peace

By Alobu Emmanuel

Birds sing in faint voices,
trying patiently to learn a new song.

Trees dance along,
Enjoying each rhythm flowing
from the tiny-winged creatures.

Streams join the birds in their hymns—
flowing silently,
all they could mutter were whispers…
Whispers of little drops,
traveling endlessly

The wind steals the melody of every tune;
sprinkling it on plants,
as they close their eyes slowly,
falling into a deep sleep.
