Google Me This

By Lori D’Angelo

I Google poem prompts, and the article says:
What does your favorite color taste like?
My answer is: I’m tired, and I don’t know.
Maybe a better Google search would be
How to get your 11-year-old son to stop
yelling at you about Disney+ subtitles not
working on your Roku TV. (I Google that too).
We try all the buttons till something clicks.
Maybe a better Google search would be
How to get your cattle dog to stop growling
at you because you’re not paying attention.
Maybe a better Google search would be
How to get your 11-year-old son to stop
obsessively watching the musical Hamilton.
Maybe a better Google search would be
How to more patiently answer questions
Like, Mom, does the air pump run out of air?
