tiramisu home

By Luna Yin

there are days
when the soil
is sweet
cocoa powder dusting
soft warm sponge

the clouds
a painted
cream fluff
dotting dimples
smiling corners

the coffee
tastes less bitter
more introspective
a soul with taste
tangible essence
on the tongue

the roast arabica
sharp yet musty
the scent of new books
on old oaken shelves,
aged mahogany
on shining marble floors

lay on the pillowy
mascarpone
sheets of white cream
dreams of sugared dust

the sweetness still lingers
with eyes closed
